Where Dogs Become Art.

About The Dogs of Duvall

The Dogs of Duvall was the brainchild of a couple friends of mine, Tunisha and Carolyn. They wanted to give some simple gifts to dogs and their owners who regularly stopped to chat with us as we did some volunteer work in the community. As the “budding artist” in the group they asked me to draw 5 or 6 of the dogs on blank greeting cards to include in the gift bags. I had taken a charcoal drawing class online during Covid lockdown just for something to do and was always looking for some way to practice my new skills. Their request seemed like something I could handle.

However, we forgot to include the “Dog Lover’s Factor”! Dog owners know no shame when it comes to loving their dogs and very little ability to not talk about them! So things have consequently gotten WAY out of hand! As you can see, there are more than the original 5…and more to come. And this project is so fun. I would like to thank everyone who has shared their dog’s face and given me the opportunity to draw them.
